Counselling for Reconnection and Direction

There are fundamental ideas that unite us all as humans: the need for social connection; a need for purpose, or to feel useful; the desire to understand the bigger picture of existence; and the inevitability of grief and loss.

Along the road of life, as our minds perpetually drift between past, future and present, we will experience anxiety, depression and problems with focus and motivation. While this is normal, we have the potential to train our minds through reflection and discipline, allowing us to set and achieve goals and become improved versions of ourselves.

This can be difficult to do alone and without experience, and this is where counselling and coaching becomes beneficial. Counselling can help dramatically in understanding what forces or energies are holding you back and how to become unstuck. Coaching then becomes guidance in realignment and direction toward a more desirable future.

While you’re on this journey of the self, it is important not to forget the present moment. It is here that we find peace and stillness; a break from stress and worry, and there are plenty of strategies for that.

The path you’ve been on doesn’t need to be the one that you continue on.

Sometimes the route we’re following feels inevitable shaped by habits, expectations, or past decisions. Change doesn’t have to mean erasing what came before; it can mean choosing a different direction from here. You can slow down, reassess, and take small steps toward something that fits you better. Hi, I’m Chris, a qualified counsellor and mental health practitioner with a background in social work and seven years of experience supporting people through life’s challenges.

I help adults and teens navigate mental health struggles, self-doubt and periods of change with clarity and care. My approach is grounded, collaborative and strengths based in a space where we can work together to understand your story, make sense of the past and move toward a more meaningful future.
